Podcast: ZTE and a look at the 5G Revolution

In Vienna, ZTE showcased its cutting-edge line up 5G products at the recent ZTE User Congress and 5G Summit. While many people might see 5G as potentially disruptive in the consumer sector of mobility communications, the technology could have far reaching impact on the enterprise and on the way organizations of all sizes communicate and operate. ZTE customers gathered for the ZTE User Congress and 5G Summit in Vienna. In this podcast we learn about current applications and future possibilities. In this podcast, we had a chance to sit down with Alex Wang, Managing Director of 5G RAN Wireless Division.  Our podcast discusses how the speed and immense capacity of the 5G will impact worker, both at work and also as consumers. We discuss the potential impact 5G might have on enterprise real time communication. ZTE showcased devices made possible by 5G that might change work and recreation. A larger message was that 5G means more than another way to carry mobile traffic. 5G might change whole processes, changing the landscape of entire industries. Wang not only discusses near and medium-term impacts, but also discusses the way in which 5G could revolutionize how whole industries actually function, as entirely new processes take root, enabled by 5G technology. Wang addresses issues such as security, network continuity and reliability. Wang notes that the city government of the conference’s host city, Vienna, has adopted a 5G initiative as part of a larger project to deliver urban services on a whole new level.
