Podcast: New Satellite constellations will provide expanded communications with more competition for your internet dollar

SpaceX is in the process of building an extensive satellite constellation. Justin Kilpatrick, CTO and Co-Founder of Althea, is also a space enthusiast.  He has been studying the current, new, and proposed satellite systems for years. In talking to Don Witt of The Channel Daily News, Justin provides some insight into how companies like SpaceX and Amazon via Blue Origin will impact the future of communications. Justin Kilpatrick SpaceX, for example will be setting up their constellation via a satellite deployment system which will reduce cost to 1/100th the cost of traditional cellular satellites.  They will also be able to offer service at significantly reduced rates which will allow them to enter and capture remote markets from the current cellular providers.
