West introduces Dolby HD sound to the Conference room along with white label ecommerce for their resellers

Shelby Cooper, VP of wholesale sales and support at West’s Unified Communications Services discusses the company, product, and trends in the conferencing market with Don Witt of The Channel Daily News, a TR publication. Being the number one conferencing provider globally, they have great insight into many of the evolving trends. They have been able to stay number one by offering other products as well including Office 365. With their introduction of InterCall Reservationless-Plus with Dolby Voice, conference room callers from their computer or mobile devices will hear the difference.  The technology also adds a location effect for the people speaking making it a surround sound experience as if they are talking from a different part of the conference room even though they may be from the other side of the world. One of the side benefits of the technology is that it enables people to talk over each other as if in a normal conversation.  In other conference room environments, due to delay in the sound, people seem to be interrupting each other as opposed to discussions with people talking at the same time. West also announced a white label ecommerce website for their resellers allowing resellers to customize their own commerce site without the direct contact from the West. Once configured, by just adding a link to the reseller site, the ecommerce store is enabled. All of the back office is performed by West who sends a check at the end of the month based on website sales. Makes a resellers job much easier. For more than 20 years, West has been leading the way in hosted and cloud-based solutions. They focus on four complementary components of the UC spectrum: Conferencing & Collaboration, Managed Voice, Network Services and Digital Media Services. Every person on the West Unified Communications Services team is focused on providing solutions and services that make better connections and deliver real results—not just for their customers, but for their customers’ customers.
