Avaya’s Mark Fletcher leads UC industry on emergency communication issues

As communications migrate to the cloud, emergency communications is a major challenge for local, state and federal government. And the challenge includes, but is not limited to e911. In an emergency, local and federal official need to be able to communicate with the public too. Meanwhile, other safety concerns, such as “Kari’s Law” (an effort to simplify outbound emergency calling so that dialing 911 always means getting 911) remain on the table. In this podcast Mark Fletcher a Corporate Solutions Technologist and the Chief Architect for Worldwide Public Safety Solutions at Avaya. An ENP,  and currently the co-chairman of the FCC DAC / Emergency Communications Subcommittee brings us up to date on major developments on the public safety front. We learn about the issues and how they can impact your company or home. Fletcher provides us with resources, and information on Avaya’s contribution to this issue. Fletcher also recordes podcasts for Avaya.
